Customer Testimonials

"Making the decision to hire an artisan is an extremely important and critical decision. When we commissioned 11 windows for our business, we wanted to work with someone who was able to understand and translate our desires into artistic reality. Ellen was able to communicate effectively with us in a way that allowed us to feel like we were participating in the  artistic process. Sometimes working with an artisan requires some accommondation on the part of the customer, not with Ellen. She was puctual, realistic in her time estimates, and consistent and conservative in her pricing. She is a talented artisan and was a wonderufl partner in the completion of this large project. The stained glass windows provide additional value and beauty to our office. Ellen truly is a master! I invite you to come to our office to view the windows in person."

My husband and I own an acre of sand and cactus down at the bottom of the Baja on the Sea of Cortez.  This year we are excited to be able to build our own place there.  We decided to add some stained glass to our casita which I will build.  I was familiar with the process but had never built anything out of stained glass. I searched online for someone local and found Ellen.  We met for coffee to discuss what my husband and I wanted and I knew immediately that Ellen would be the perfect person to teach me.

We made a date and I was excited!  When I arrived at Ellen's home on the appointed date all the tools we would use were laid out professionally on the table. She explained the purpose of each tool in detail and showed me how to use each one when we began the work. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and Ellen had the patience of a saint as I took my time trying to cut, wrap, grind and solder each piece perfectly.  I created a beautiful piece of stained glass that I now have in my kitchen window. but more than that, I have the knowledge I need to build stained glass on my own.  It will be trial and error as I perfect it, but Ellen gave me everything I needed to succeed.  Ellen is an artist like I have never seen.  She showed me some of her work and I was amazed.  I can only hope in 20+ years my art is as beautiful as hers.

Thank you Ellen for the kindness and patience you showed to me.  You're one of a kind.
